The best of all ships with single-occupancy cabins is the NCL Norwegian Epic, boasting 128 of its 100 square foot (9,3 m2) "Epic Studios" - specifically designed for solo travelers, and features a full-size bed and a large round window looking out into the corridor.. Avoid cabins located forward on lower decks - where the ship's anchors are.. The Norwegian Sun ship is among the oldest cruise ships in the cruise line industry, and by far one of the oldest in the Norwegian Cruise Line fleet. I have previously sailed on the Norwegian Getaway and the Norwegian Bliss, and I was interested to see how the much smaller Norwegian Sun would compare to two of Norwegian's newer vessels.

On October 20, 2023, Irina , Lawnie , and I, Rachelle, boarded the Norwegian Sun in Seattle Washington, for a 10-day cruise to Alaska. Our reservation number was 54102517.. Best locations for balcony staterooms on Deck 8 of the Norwegian Sun are 8018- 8023 and 8048- 8064 port side and 8218- 8223 and 8248- 8264 starboard. Forward, with 504 sq. ft., two Romance Suites (8003 and 8203) are the most spacious of the suites on Deck 8 of the Norwegian Sun.
